Biography
Catherine Boyle
was born and raised in Roanoke, Virginia.
Growing up in the country, one of Catherine’s
favorite places to retreat was a cow pasture
behind her house, where she could survey the
small valley in which her family and neighbors
resided. There Catherine discovered a dawning
sense of the grandeur of God and began a
lifelong love of the written Word.
Despite this
passion for writing, Catherine was overly
sensible and in college majored in Accounting.
Catherine earned a BBA from James Madison
University as well as an MBA from Virginia
Commonwealth University.
Catherine met her
husband in Richmond, VA in 1992 and quickly fell head over heels
in love. The beginning of Catherine’s marriage
was unforgettable: her wedding took place on
one of the coldest days on record in the South.
And while en route to a Hawaiian honeymoon, an
overnight stop in Los Angeles put Catherine and
her husband near the epicenter of a major
earthquake!
Catherine
enjoyed a successful career in a large
southeastern bank where she served as Vice
President in Corporate Trust and in Strategic
Marketing. Catherine’s final corporate
assignment was Vice President over key areas of
the bank’s Y2K project. In spite of the
corporate allure, after the birth of her second
child Catherine gave up her banking career for
the role of full-time “Mommy”.
In the early
years of her children’s lives, God pulled
together the passions for writing, speaking and
ministry that Catherine had never known how to
use. But at just the right time, God opened the
doors for Catherine to lead a significant
women’s ministry at her church, and shortly
thereafter, to become a speaker for a national
ministry.
Today, Catherine
spends her time writing, speaking and teaching
the truth and application of God’s Word.
Catherine’s first book, Hungry Souls:
What the Bible Says About Eating Disorder,
was released in 2007. Catherine has contributed
to several other books and is working on a
Biblically-based book on intimacy.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the
Lord, "plans to prosper you, and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future."
