The foundation of life is
God’s Word. The Bible was inspired by God, is
inerrant, and is the final authority on faith
and life. God was the first author. Words
matter to God, and as such, the words we use
should matter to us. In John 17:17, Jesus said
“Sanctify them by the truth; your word is
truth.”
God is one entity with three parts:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19
Jesus is the only
religious leader the world has ever known who
told people that He was the truth and the way to
God. All other religions are a system of works
to reach up to God. Jesus Christ proclaimed
that by way of Him God reached down to man.
Jesus stated in John 14:6 “I am the way and the
truth and the life. No one comes to the Father
except through me.”
Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless
life, and willingly gave up His life via death
on the cross as a substitution, a final
sacrifice for the sins of mankind. He rose
from the dead, not just His Spirit, but His
physical body.
Luke 24
Salvation is a free gift of God that no one can
earn. Salvation is free to us, but cost
Jesus unimaginable pain and His very life.
Hebrews 2:9-18
In
this present age, Jesus lives in Heaven with
God, interceding for those who believe in Him.
Isaiah 53:12, Hebrews 7:25
The Holy Spirit is given to all who repent of
their sins and ask Christ into their lives.
Believers are spiritually sealed so that the
evil one cannot have them again. The Holy
Spirit leads and guides believers in all they
do.
Ephesians 1:13-14
Being a Christian means having a relationship
with Christ, growing close to Him through His
word, time spent in prayer and seeing amazing
answers to prayer.
2
Peter 3
The purpose for living beyond salvation, beyond
asking Christ into your life, is to comfort
others with comfort we have received and to do
works that God has ordained for us. What
we do doesn’t save us, but provides proof of the
change of ownership in our hearts.
Ephesians 2:10
Jesus is coming back to the earth to rule and to
reign, at a time that only God the Father knows.
Jesus warned us of the signs of the approaching
day, signs that increasingly align with this
present age.
Matthew 24
God promises believers—those who hold fast
against the tide of sin in our time and those
who overcome the darkness in themselves and
outside themselves—the following: eternal
life, authority over the nations, Jesus Himself,
spotless white garments, a name in the Book of
Life, friendship with Christ that is known in
Heaven, and the right to sit with Jesus on His
throne.
(Revelation 2:7, 2:26-29, 3:5, 3:21).
